Vince McMahon Changing His Mind On WWE Creative Causing Troubles

The backstage workings of WWE is something that will always fascinate wrestling fans because no matter how much we think we might know about things, the reality is if you're not standing backstage with these there is no way to know everything that goes on. All we really know is that Vince McMahon is still the man in charge of WWE just like he's been for over 30 years and his son in law Triple H is basically in the position as the next person with the most power on the creative side of things. In this week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it notes that Triple H is in an impossible position with WWE talent relations because McMahon changes his mind frequently. WWE talents are said to be frustrated because they are at first told a certain direction by Triple H and then Triple H ends up having to get with the talent again and explain what he told them before has been changed, because of Vince. It's understandable why McMahon changes his mind. It's his company. He has this vision of what he wants it to be and while he might say something to Hunter on Thursday about a certain direction he wants to go in, he may have a differing view by the time it gets to Monday morning. McMahon is also 68 years old and while he is showing no signs of slowing down, it's probably tougher for him to do things these days compared to when his company was thriving 15 years ago. When is retirement age typically? At 65. McMahon is past that point and it's just going to go retire on some yacht in Florida. That's not how he is. It's also why he's as successful as he is. His company is huge because of his tireless work ethic. The report goes on to say that it isn't turning out to be a bad thing for Triple H because WWE talents mostly see him as one of them and they believe that he's also frustrated when things get changed. Hunter is 44 years old and as of a few years ago he was wrestling full time. It's likely easier for a midcard wrestler to talk to Hunter because as a younger guy he might relate to what they're saying compared to Vince. It's unlikely that there will ever be a power struggle in WWE because Vince and Hunter are family after all, but it's understandable that things can get frustrating for some of the wrestlers when things change all the time.
