Vince McMahon Conflicted Over Daniel Bryan's WWE Future

WWE owner reportedly going back-and-forth over whether Bryan can step back into a WWE ring.

Vince McMahon is conflicted over his decision on whether or not Daniel Bryan should wrestle once again for WWE. According to the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McMahon has repeatedly gone back-and-forth over whether Bryan can step back in the ring after his latest setback of injuries. WWE officials had been waiting on a third set of test results over Daniel Bryan's current health after the first two tests yielded mixed results. The first, from WWE's own Dr. Joseph Maroon, ruled that Bryan should never wrestle again due to the damage caused by the number of concussions he's suffered. Bryan then got a second opinion of his own, a doctor from NFL's Arizona Cardinals who disagreed with Dr Maroon's assessment after declaring that Bryan's brain actually tested better than average for his 34-years of age. WWE then ordered a third set of results to help determine which opinion to side with. They have so far remained extremely cautious over Bryan, who only lasted three months back in the ring this year after his latest setback and has now been gone from a wrestling ring since he relinquished the Intercontinental Title on May 11th's Raw. Dave Meltzer notes that it's possible WWE now have the results of the third test and are keeping them secret for now. With WWE's ratings down and star power incredibly low with Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins, John Cena and Randy Orton off current TV, it will be interesting to see where McMahon's judgment will ultimately fall here, particularly with The Rock and Ronda Rousey now not expected to be part of WWE's WrestleMania 32 line-up and feuds for Lesnar and Triple H now looking unclear.
