Vince McMahon Going Into Hall Of Fame Today

It's a tremendous honor for WWE's Chairman and CEO.

It was announced today that WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon will be entering a prestigious Hall of Fame this evening. It's not his own WWE Hall of Fame, though. It's the Boys & Girls Club of America Alumni Hall of Fame. Here is some of the press release regarding this news.
This evening, top athletes, entertainers and business leaders will be inducted into Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) Alumni Hall of Fame. Since its inception more than 100 years ago, BGCA has provided kids of all backgrounds with the opportunity to grow and realize their dreams. To celebrate the accomplishments of former Boys & Girls Club members, BGCA annually recognizes distinguished alumni during the organization€™s annual National Conference, being held in Chicago in 2015. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Alumni Hall of Fame program, as well as the year the organization changed its name from Boys Club of America to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The Elizabeth City Boys & Girls Club provided McMahon with a sense of belonging and a vision of what is possible, both of which were lacking in his home environment. He looked up to Club staff, who mentored and cared about kids. The feeling that somebody cared about him meant the world. Meeting other kids and teens from all walks of life showed McMahon there was a whole world of possibilities out there beyond what he knew. Since those early days, McMahon has become one of the most well-known pioneers in the entertainment industry, catapulting the WWE brand from a small, regional wrestling promotion to a global, family-friendly entertainment brand with television programming in 650 million homes in more than 175 countries and 35 languages. Today, WWE is one of the most recognized brands in the world with nearly half a billion social media followers. McMahon continues to carry forward the experience he had at The Club by supporting numerous programs and partners to help make a positive impact in the lives of children and families around the world.
The event honors alumni who have gone on to make major contributions in their fields, from sports to entertainment to business. McMahon is the biggest name at the event and will likely deliver a great speech since he's a gifted talker. While McMahon doesn't always talk about his past a lot, he had mentioned how valuable his experiences were as a youth and how they shaped him as a man. WWE has done a lot of work with the Boys & Girls Club of America over the years because of how much the group has meant to McMahon personally. It's nice to see McMahon being honored by the Boys & Girls Club of America because he was a part of it when he was younger and they have to be proud of everything he's accomplished. Sometimes WWE fans take for granted all of the hard work that Vince and his family have put in to their company, but it's pretty amazing to see how much WWE has grown over the last 40 years. Now that Vince is 69 years old and he is at a point in his life where he's a hard working grandfather, it's time for him to be honored for some of the work he's done in his career. Regarding the WWE Hall of Fame, nobody really knows if Vince will ever be inducted. It's well known that he hates when people even mention his name during the speeches and he's usually in the back producing the event instead of sitting in the crowd. Hopefully Vince, along with his wife Linda, are inducted together within the next few years so they can appreciate the moment with the WWE Universe there to thank them for everything they've done. McMahon has yet to comment on the induction and we don't know if we'll see a video of his speech, but no doubt this is a big moment for Vince and his family. Congratulations to Vince McMahon on his Hall of Fame induction to the Boys & Girls Club of America.
