Vince McMahon MISSES WWE Raw

Backstage details on Vince McMahon's absence from last night's WWE Raw.

Vince McMahon was not backstage at last night's WWE Raw taping in Miami, Florida, reports PWInsider's Mike Johnson.

With the Chairman and CEO absent, Senior Vice President and Executive Director Bruce Prichard was running the show. The same outlet has noted, however, that even though McMahon wasn't in the building, he was still providing feedback and making changes to Raw.

The second report notes that the lengthy Tag Team Turmoil bout had been planned to close Raw for much of the day, with WWE set to assign a lot of time to it. This turned out to be true - though the match was split into two halves.

Bobby Lashley and MVP ended up winning that match, with RK-Bro laying them out to close Raw. Lashley and MVP will challenge for Riddle and Randy Orton's Raw Tag Team Championships on next week's episode of Raw.

There is currently no word on why, exactly, Vince skipped this week's episode of Raw. Though he recently celebrated his 76th birthday, McMahon remains extremely hands-on in his promotion, and now looks set to assume even more responsibilities down in NXT.
