Vince McMahon Was NOT At Last Night's WWE Raw

The WWE Chairman left his lieutenants in charge in Minnesota.

Last night's WWE Raw was another eventful show in a month full of them, with The Fiend destroying Jerry Lawler, Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman becoming Tag Team Champions, and everyone from Becky Lynch to Natalya (!!!) cutting killer promos throughout its three hours.

Vince McMahon wasn't there to see it all go down, though.

This is according to Pro Wrestling Sheet's Ryan Satin, who tweeted the following before yesterday's show:-

Satin then offered some subjectivity, adding that "if [Vince's absence] had anything to do with tonight's show being as great as it was, then Vince staying out of the weeds could be a very good thing."

It's hard to argue with this assertion. While it's easy to blame the Chairman for WWE's myriad creative issues and credit others, like Heyman, when things go well, this take has been earned through decades of inconsistent output. Besides, Raw was pretty great last night. Again. This is becoming a habit for the Monday night flagship.

The XFL's 2020 launch has posed all kinds of questions on Vince's role in the company, though yesterday's report that he's set to take a more hands-on role with NXT suggests he isn't ready to dial back just yet.
