What Brock Lesnar ACTUALLY Said To Matt Riddle At WWE Royal Rumble 2020

Working with Lesnar is apparently a no-bro.

As you're probably aware of by now, NXT starlet Matt Riddle and WWE Champion Brock Lesnar had a heated verbal exchange backstage before the pair appeared in the men's Royal Rumble match on Sunday night. Some even referred to the altercation as a tense stand-off.

Thanks to Talk Sport, we now have a clearer understanding of what actually went down on the night.

WWE officials told Talk Sport that Lesnar was the one who instigated the conversation by walking up to Riddle and grabbing his shoulder, before stating “Kid, you might as well stop saying my name and tagging me in sh*t because you and I will never work together. Ever.”

Riddle apparently kept his cool - as you'd expect him to - and even tried to converse with 'The Beast Incarnate'. However, Lesnar wasn't in the mood to shoot the breeze and left soon after he'd made his point.

This revelation seemingly debunks two theories.

The first being that the pair had a dramatic showdown backstage and the other being that Riddle was subsequently punished for this heated exchange by being dumped out of the Royal Rumble earlier than originally planned.

Riddle is known for his care-free Twitter activity and often states how he would enjoy retiring Lesnar at some point in the future.

Will we ever see him given the chance to make good on that dream or will Lesnar's words ring true?
