What Happened After Last Night's WWE Raw Went Off The Air (18 September)

A huge Street Fight in San Jose.

Braun Strowman will challenge for Brock Lesnar's WWE Universal Championship at No Mercy 2017 this weekend, but he was forced to deal with an old enemy after last night's Raw went off the air.

The show's dark main event saw 'The Monster Among Men' face Roman Reigns in a Street Fight, with 'The Big Dog' emerging victorious. A short clip of the match (featuring Reigns spearing Strowman through a table) has been uploaded to Twitter (see above).

Braun and Roman have spent much of 2017 knocking lumps out of each other, with their last major collision coming in SummerSlam's four-man main event. Their televised rivalry has been put on the back-burner lately, but they've continued to tussle in Street Fights and No DQ matches on the house show circuit, with Reigns winning every time.

Strowman is currently 2-1 against his rival in one-on-one PPV clashes. Reigns will face John Cena on Sunday, but the fact that WWE keep booking him against Braun at house shows and in other dark matches suggests another contest may be on the horizon. Few fans would have reason to complain about that, given the quality of their last few bouts.
