What Happened After Last Night's WWE Raw Went Off The Air? (May 25)

WWE says goodbye to the Nassau Coliseum.

The advertised main event for the crowd in Long Island, New York was John Cena, Roman Reigns & Randy Orton vs. Bray Wyatt, Seth Rollins & Rusev. That's not what the crowd got to see because they went with Orton vs Wyatt instead. What's interesting about Orton taking on Wyatt is that neither man was on Raw. Even though Wyatt won his match against Ryback at Payback, there's no feud for Wyatt. Orton was off last week too, so he's likely going to be off the Elimination Chamber event as well. In the dark match, Orton beat Wyatt clean with the RKO. After the match, Orton apparently spent a lot of time taking pics with fans and shaking hands. Sometimes the last guy out there just wants to get out after the last match. It's cool to know that Orton thought enough of the fans to greet them after the show was over. A Raw taping is a really long night since you can be sitting there for four hours. In other news from the taping, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon appeared for the live crowd before Raw aired. It was a special night because it was the last time WWE held an event at the Nassau Coliseum and they have history in the building going back about 40 years. https://twitter.com/WWE/status/602989919343022080 McMahon was really classy in his speech as he thanked the superstars that performed in a WWE ring in the Coliseum and he also thanked the fans for going to events there. While it wasn't the greatest Raw in terms of in-ring work, the crowd seemed to be hot for much of the night and like usual they were sent home happy thanks to Orton's win in the dark match main event.
