What Happened After WWE Raw Went Off The Air? (Dec 14)

The champ talks about the crowd reaction at the 2015 Royal Rumble and poses for photos!

After this week's Raw went off-air, Dean Ambrose and both Usos came out to celebrate with new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns in the ring. Reigns cut an in-ring promo, and mentioned the extremely negative reaction he received after winning the 2015 Royal Rumble. He explained that such a bad response only inspired him to work harder, and spoke about what a difference a year makes. He also wished his infant daughter a happy birthday, before celebrating with the crowd to close the show. Roman's comment that a year makes a huge difference may be slightly misleading. His victory was received largely well by those in attendance, but the past few months haven't exactly been smooth sailing for the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He still tends to draw Cena-esque mixed reactions at most shows, although time will tell whether those become more positive as his reign progresses. On the other hand, the fact that Reigns was able to draw a positive reaction from a Philadelphia crowd - one of the most notoriously critical cities in wrestling - is undoubtedly impressive, and could bode very well for the champ in the near future. It will certainly be interesting to see how fan opinion on Reigns develops as WWE approaches the road to WrestleMania.
