Omos and Asuka qualified Monday night for the men's and women's Money in the Bank ladder matches, respectively.

Omos earned his spot by defeating an already-injured Riddle in a short but spirited match that saw the Original Bro repeatedly attack the Nigerian Giant, but he couldn't chop the big man down. Omos countered an attempted RKO and turned it into a Tree Slam to gain a spot alongside Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus. Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura will compete for the fifth spot on SmackDown Friday night, with three more spots up for grabs after that.

Asuka toppled Becky Lynch in the main event in a match that was previously announced, then looked like it was off when both women were inserted into a five-woman match to determine a new #1 contender for the Raw Women's Championship. Adam Pearce reinstituted the match after both women failed to win the five-way bout.

The Empress of Tomorrow will join Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez in the women's MITB match, with Aliyah and Shotzi battling for the sixth spot on SmackDown. Two more spots will be determined later.

Money in the Bank takes place on Saturday, July 2, which means that WWE will need to ramp up its qualifying matches if they're going to fill out the field.
