Who Was The Jobber Who Pinned The Miz On Last Night's WWE SmackDown?

Identity of local talent revealed.

SmackDown The Miz Bryant

The Miz courted Shane McMahon to be his tag team partner on last night's episode of SmackDown, and as part of his attempts to woo the blue brand's GM and self-proclaimed 'Best in the World', the A-Lister dragged out two jobbers with the express intent of handily creaming the pair.

Out trotted local talent The Bryant Brothers, all enthusiasm and bad tights. Surely The Miz had his new tag buddy all but secured?

It didn't quite work out as planned.

Despite dominating the early offence, an inattentive Miz fell to a dreaded schoolboy from one of the rookies. After the match, he was predictably fuming.

Who exactly was this opportunist underdog? WWE named him as Dane Bryant, but after the show, it was independent wrestler Eli Everfly who hit Twitter to boast about his big victory over the former WWE champion:

Everfly, who is active on the SoCal scene, has had stints with The Crash and PWG. Notably, he recently took on Marko Stunt at Joey Janela's LA Confidential last Friday.

'Dane's partner 'Wayne' is more commonly known as Keita Murray, a regular enhancement talent in WWE.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
