Will There Be A Seventh Man In WWE's Money In The Bank Ladder Match?

An update on the annual ladder war...

On the episode of Raw following Extreme Rules, WWE began to hype the Money in the Bank ladder match for the next Pay-Per-View.

They promised a seven-man match, and five superstars - Sami Zayn, Cesaro, Chris Jericho, Dean Ambrose, and Kevin Owens - qualified for the bout on the show. On the following episode of Smackdown, former Money in the Bank winner Alberto Del Rio defeated Zack Ryder to gain entry to the match.

On this past week's Raw, however, there was no mention of a seventh man. The men in the match faced off in a six-man tag, and a graphic for the MITB match didn't feature a seventh silhouette, causing many to speculate that the idea of making it a seven-man match was dropped altogether.

According to The Wrestling Observer, right now the match is internally considered to be a six-man affair, though the company purposely didn't address the change in case they decide to go back to the original plan. Previous iterations of the match have included as few as five competitors (Money in the Bank 2012) and as many as ten (WrestleMania 26).

This year's lineup is particularly strong, so seventh entrant or not, the match should be memorable.
