A major storm in the Tampa area caused a significant delay to Night 1 of WrestleMania 37. But it looks as though Night 2 could be set to take things up a notch.

Coming into the Saturday night event, it was reported that a serious storm was set to hit Raymond James Stadium as the show was edging ever closer to its start time. This eventually led to fans being asked to seek shelter before the night officially got underway, with WWE's epic 'Mania 37 set even being damaged by the extreme conditions.

The unfortunate weather continued throughout the Pre-Show and extended into the opening stages of the main card presentation as Vince McMahon's introduction to the landmark 'Mania and Bebe Rexha's performance of "America the Beautiful" was swiftly followed by another significant weather delay.

Thinking on their feet, WWE opted to throw various stars in front of a camera in a number of backstage interview segments, delivering a series of unscripted promos to kick off an already surreal night of action. Michael Cole, Samoa Joe and Byron Saxton all also went the extra mile to keep fans engaged, despite the unusual circumstances, with Cole and Joe even donning ponchos as they took their commentary up the ramp.

When the night finally did get underway, it was only a matter of time before performers began to slip and slide on the unexpectedly treacherous surface. Sure enough, Mandy Rose took a tumble mid-entrance, and AJ Styles very nearly followed in her unstable footsteps as the event progressed.

Needless to say, despite having the odds stacked against them in such an unprecedented way, WWE managed to make the best of the crappy situation and inadvertently gave us the unfiltered on-air interviews we'd been clamouring for all this time. Fancy that.

Just when the company thought they'd put this disastrous deluge behind them, however, it's now being reported that Night 2 could be set for an even worse spell of weather. Early forecasts predict that once again 'Mania 37 will have to contend with torrential rain, wind and thunder and lightning tonight, a point that was also hammered home by Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio.
