WrestleMania 29: 10 Reasons It's The Worst One Ever

The dust is beginning to settle on WrestleMania 29, and I have to say that from the outset this was the first WrestleMania in years that I just wasn't at all psyched for. With the card providing little excitement and coasting far too much on rematches, there was really little enticing me to stay up late for it, and unsurprisingly, the pay-per-view proved to be underwhelming even with my low expectations. Generally even weak WrestleManias manage to coast on the sheer spectacle of the event, but not this year; it felt like there was a lot missing, and overall it seemed like I was watching a regular PPV with a nicer set and longer run-time. Here are 10 reasons why WrestleMania 29 is the worst one ever...

10. Cheesy Promos

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W30Dgz9-lfc Whether it was the tacky Hurricane Sandy video kicking things off or the "I am one of the millions" promo for The Rock, WrestleMania really cranked up the cheese when it came to the videos this year. Part of the problem is surely that there were just so many of them - I wish sick to death of Rock/Cena promos by night's end - and it felt like they were padding things out (which is silly given that the 8-man tag had to be ditched anyway), but they didn't have that exciting WrestleMania feel; instead they inspired laughter. Fans frequently note how WWE can be out of touch, and this is a prime example; given how little actual wrestling there was in the first half of the show, inundating us with these excessive promos got more than a little annoying.
