WrestleMania 31 Betting Odds Released

Who do the bookies think will walk out of Mania 31 as victors?

We're well on the road to WrestleMania 31 now and the bookies are putting together their favourites for each of the matches on the biggest card of the year. It must be noted, we don't know how these betting companies judge who is the favourite for each match. Is it down to insider information? Logical thinking? Or just a plain wild guess? Who knows. The following odds were taken from Paddy Power, who are one of the few bookmakers who actually offer markets on wrestling. Their early odds are as follows: Roman Reigns favoured (2/7) to defeat Brock Lesnar (9/4) for the WWE World Heavyweight Title John Cena favoured (1/7) to defeat Rusev (4/1) for the WWE United States Title Dean Ambrose favoured (4/6) to win the Intercontinental Title Ladder Match over Daniel Bryan (3/1), Bad News Barrett (9/2), Dolph Ziggler (11/1), Stardust (8/1), Luke Harper (19/1) and R-Truth (35/1) Damien Mizdow favoured (8/5) to win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal over Sheamus (9/2), Mark Henry (6/1) and others Sting favoured (1/7) to defeat Triple H (4/1) The Undertaker favoured (2/9) to defeat Bray Wyatt (11/4) Randy Orton favoured (8/11) to defeat Seth Rollins (even odds) - Rollins favoured (4/7) to NOT cash in his briefcase Paige and AJ Lee favoured (3/10) to defeat The Bella Twins (11/5) Obviously, the stand out headline from that is Roman Reigns still going over as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, despite rumours circulating that Brock Lesnar has signed a new contract with WWE. It certainly looks as if there is nothing that will stop Vince McMahon making the former Shield member his new golden goose. Many will raise eyebrows at The Undertaker being favourite to beat Bray Wyatt, due to the fact Wyatt is another star in the making and a potential defeat hampering his development. However, the fact that The Buzzard has the Taker match at Mania in the first place means he is over in the eyes of the powers that be. It is a spot that is reserved for the best of the best. Followers of the Yes Movements won't like the sight of Dean Ambrose's name in the favourites position for the Intercontinental Championship ladder match. Many believed Bryan was in line to capture the belt in order to put some prestige back into it. This tactic looks to have been reserved for the US title alone however as John Cena is in line for a win. The other stand out headline is Mizdow going over in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Does this mean WWE's comedy-king-in-chief is in line for a mega push up the card? Only time will tell. The name of Sheamus, who hasn't been seen in the ring since November, is an interesting one and potential dark horse. As is expected, Paddy Powers sees Sting getting his WrestleMania win, Randy Orton continuing to build momentum after his return and fan favourites AJ Lee and Paige getting the better of The Bella Twins.
