WWE: 10 Bloodiest Matches Ever

10. Bret Hart vs. British Bulldog - In Your House December 1995

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Nf0Iy71ZJc This is not the most famous Hart/Bulldog match because obviously that was SummerSlam 1992. That was more of a traditional wrestling match that Bulldog won with a great counter move. This one saw Bret Hart as the WWE Champion defending against his brother in law, the British Bulldog, who was a heel challenger. The WWE product wasn't that exciting in 1995. Aside from a few great performers the shows were lacking a lot. In Bret Hart's book, he wrote about how he figured they should make this match more memorable by doing a blade job in this match. It wasn't something Vince McMahon approved at this time, but he did it anyway. Bret was the champion, so he figured he wouldn't be punished for it and he was right. When Bulldog threw Hart into the steel steps, Bret went down and did the blade job. Once we got to see his face, you could see he was completely busted open. Bret was not a guy that did blade jobs too often. It was rare for him. Even Vince McMahon on commentary said he had never seen Hart bleeding like that. By the end of the match, the crowd really got into it so perhaps he was right to show color. Hart left the ring victorious too. Not a bad night after all.
