WWE: 10 Controversial Wrestlers Who Belong In The WWE Hall of Fame

3. Eric Bischoff

Despite Eric Bischoff being employed by WWE for a few years, there is the whole issue of him trying to put Vince McMahon out of business that both sides would have to get over before there was a Hall of Fame induction. And Bischoff absolutely deserves one. He belongs for the simple fact that no one over the past 30 years put up as good of a fight as he did against the mighty WWE. Besides taking it to Vince in the ratings, he also revolutionized the wrestling business with WCW Nitro. He took the show live while Raw was still being taped, and gave away his competitors results on the air. He developed the cruiserweight division, and brought in some of the best under-sized talent from around the world. At that point, most fans had never seen that type of wrestling. And while people may argue over who really created it, he pushed the NWO as the center point of the company which brought in millions of new fans. Bischoff didn't have much self-restraint with money, nor did he possess a creative vision to come up with something compelling once the NWO ended. This led to his undoing as president of WCW, and let McMahon take back his wrestling crown. However, his impact in the business is still felt today. Because of Bischoff, wrestling looks slicker, features higher-profile matches on a weekly basis and is faster paced than it was before he took over. Since he left WWE as a General Manager, he once again tried to take the Vince on with TNA, and failed. Will McMahon forgive him for another attempted war? And will Bischoff allow himself to be inducted? Those are questions we'll have to wait to find out.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
