WWE: 10 Famous Wrestling Streaks That Had A Botched Ending

At WrestleMania XXX, everyone in the audience just knew The Undertaker would defeat Brock Lesnar, extending his Undefeated Streak at WrestleMania to 22-0. Everyone- from the announcers to the wrestlers in the back to the fans in attendance to, apparently, the referee- knew it was a forgone conclusion. After all, Lesnar- despite having defeated 'Taker many times in the past, and being a former UFC Heavyweight Champion- had not been booked well in the feud leading up to the match. Surely, the man who added the first and only mark to the Undertaker's WrestleMania "Loss" column would be booked strong up to the match, right? Not just strong during the last few moments of the go-home episode of Raw, but for weeks building up to that, right? Right?!? Unfortunately, we were wrong. Now, I think- if someone was going to end the streak- that Brock Lesnar was a great option; the road-map to get there, however, was an uninteresting ride, making the eventual destination seem not-worth-the trouble. 'Taker's loss to Brock Lesnar brought an end to perhaps the last great streak in professional wrestling, and it should have been built with more suspense than it was. But good (or is it bad?) news: It's not the only time the WWE or professional wrestling in general brought a much-celebrated streak to an unceremonious end. It's happened far-too-frequently that a win (or losing) streak came to an end because the bookers wrote themselves into a corner, or the wrestler wasn't getting over enough (or were getting too over) and the end came abruptly. Here are 10 More Wrestling Streaks and Record-Breaking Reigns that had a Botched Ending...
