WWE: 10 Great Wrestlers Who Are Now Retired

10. Low Ki

low ki Ok, so he isn't an all time great. But Low Ki is probably the greatest skilled wrestler who is retired right now, having recently quit wrestling in October 2013 after a fall out with All Japan over medical costs following an abdomen injury. At only 34 the talented grappler had so much more to offer, and had came nowhere near to fulfilling his potential, mostly due to terrible booking and creative when in the big leagues. Low Ki could do it all in the ring. He was a real athlete and his matches had an engaging edge of intensity and reality. His ring style blended submission, mat wrestling, power moves and high flying - he really could do it all, and after a great run in Ring of Honor he really should have been in the same class as CM Punk and Daniel Bryan when crossing over to WWE. It wasn't to be, despite winning WWE NXT season 2 as Kaval (beating fellow peers Curtix Axel and Bray Wyatt along the way), Kaval went on to leave the WWE later that year. Low Ki stated that "I'm a professional wrestler. They're looking for entertainers. They're looking for people who are going to make fools out of themselves in order to entertain people. That's not me." It was a brave move for Low Ki. He had done decent in WWE, appearing on Smackdown and a couple of Pay Per Views even. But he was a wrestler foremost. He went back to Japan and worked for New Japan and All Japan, showing what he was all about - wrestling. His career for now is seemingly over, but at 34 we should hope he reconsiders. He enjoyed a great run that saw him as a Ring of Honor Champion and TNA X Division Champ. He is the rare case of a wrestler retiring too early, and due to his skill level deserves a place on this list.
