WWE: 10 Greatest Superstars Of The 2000s So Far

Triple H When it comes to WWE, there's no denying that whenever the greatest time periods in the company's history is discussed, it's inevitably based on either Rock 'n' Wrestling in the 1980s or the Attitude Era in the late 1990s. Of course, the characters in their prime, such as Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart and Stone Cold Steve Austin were what made these time periods so great. But what about since then? There's no denying that WWE has been on a downturn since the Attitude Era ended, desperately trying to recapture the magic of that time period again. In fact, I feel that it's only recently that WWE have finally accepted that their popularity during that time is truly a thing of the past and they have moved on somewhat. We are now seeing the emergence of new characters and stories, thus signifying the possible end of what I like to call, the 'Brand Era'. So, just who exactly made WWE tick during these last thirteen years?

10. Kurt Angle

kurt angle I'm certain that if Kurt Angle was still in the WWE today, he'd be a lot higher up this list. From being a comedy character to an intense wrestling machine, Kurt had truly done it all in WWE. His classic matches with wrestlers like Brock Lesnar, Shawn Michaels, The Rock and countless others warrant him a place on this list alone. In terms of his character, I always found Angle to be very entertaining no matter what he did, whether it was a comedy segment or an intense stare down with someone like The Undertaker. He really did develop well during the seven years or so with the company, never content and always striving to be the best. His transformation from total rookie to a legendary figure is proof of that. In short, Kurt Angle had the charisma and he had the talent in the ring, which is rare but perfect combination in professional wrestling.
