WWE: 10 Greatest Superstars Of The 2000s So Far

9. Batista

batista I never, ever thought I would put Batista in any list like this during his 2002-2004 run. He was dire in the ring and didn't have much charisma outside of it. But when he started gaining some momentum and was involved in a truly classic wrestling feud with Triple H, it all changed. The way he maintained his popularity with the fans until his eventual heel turn in 2010 spoke volumes about how well booked his initial feud with Triple H was - his feuds with JBL and The Great Khali afterwards failed to set the world alight. Suddenly, Batista became his own man. He was a multi-time World Heavyweight Champion and rightly so. He singlehandedly carried the far weaker brand, Smackdown, during 2006 and 2007. Of course, then there's that match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 23. Wow.
