WWE: 10 Independent Wrestlers That Should Be Signed in 2013

10. Cheerleader Melissaalissaflash

Having been trained by the likes of Christopher Daniels and Daniel Bryan, Melissa Anderson has been tearing up women divisions all across the indies for the past decade, having held the Shimmer Championship and competed against some of the top female wrestling names in the world, including the former Kharma, Amazing Kong, Mickie James, Sara Del Rey, Ayako Hamada and many more. If you're a fan of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling you may recognize her by her alias, Alissa Flash. While contracted to the Nashville based company, Melissa also donned niqab and went under the name Raisha Saeed, standing in the corner of Awesome Kong as she dominated the Knockouts division at the peak of its strength and popularity. She eventually left the company and returned to competing on the indies. Technically sound, Melissa would be a great addition to the WWE Divas division at a time when few true contenders remain. With the departure of Eve and only five regularly active in-ring Divas on the main roster, despite its floundering state it simply needs more talent to even remain active; sure, they could call-up Divas from NXT, but asides from Paige and Audrey Marie you'd be lucky to find one who can hit a clothesline correctly.

9. Prince Devitt

I alluded to one person on this list being from Japan; see I didn't reference their nationality as the person in-question is in fact Irish, but Prince Devitt is a contracted performer of New Japan Pro Wrestling, currently reigning as the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, but having made several independent appearances in the States during 2012 I feel as though he gains a mention off a technicality - I'm sly like that. When you think of pro-wrestling and Ireland chances are two people will come to your mind; Sheamus and Fit Finlay. When in fact New Japan Pro Wrestling holds not only one of the top lightweight performers today but one of the top performers in all aspects. Davey Richards recently said Prince Devitt reminds him of Bryan Danielson; his work ethic is outstanding and hes always trying to better himself. With an ice man, "don't take bulls#@t from anyone walking within ten inches" persona and an extremely diverse move-set, Devitt has been one of Japan's top stars and gaijins(foreign wrestlers) for the past few years now. Hes stated that somewhere down the line he will venture back to the United States full-time, once he feels hes done all there is to do in New Japan, and when that time comes I truly hope WWE come calling.
