WWE: 10 Moments From The PG-Era That Made You Mark Out

Befunky Wwe PgWWE have been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism in the past few weeks even though it is louder than normal, some fans have been giving the company stick ever since it changed its rating from TV-14 to a PG rating back in 2008. While there are reasons for genuine complaints at WWE for "watering down" its product to change its target audience, the PG rated product has still produced plenty of good moments. The recent Raw in Chicago provided WWE's greatest pay-per-view event in months and it was just an episode of Raw. Thanks to the company fearing the "Hijack Raw" movement stemming from a combination of the missing hometown hero CM Punk and general displeasure with the current product, WWE put on a fantastic show with very little not to enjoy. This was followed with the unique and amazing visual on this week's Raw with Daniel Bryan's "Occupy Raw" movement. Inspired by the Chicago Raw and "Occupy Raw" this article looks at the great moments that have been provided under the maligned PG Era. The moments that made the internet stand up and "mark out". Nostalgia has been running wild in WWE recently, with so many former superstars making grand returns, all whilst internet darlings occasionally manage to make the rise through the company.

Honourable Mentions:

The Undertaker and Triple H's simultaneous returns - On the advertised date 2-21-11 Undertaker made his return to Raw, but immediately after hitting the ring Triple H's music hit and he also made a big return! Without uttering a single word the WrestleMania challenge was made and accepted while the fans in attendance went wild. Daniel Bryan Returns - Following the use of announcer Justin Roberts tie to choke him during The Nexus's debut attack, WWE released Bryan. Irate fans thought that his time with the company had been unfairly cut short after his disappointing treatment during his time on NXT and continued to chant for him at subsequent events. When Team WWE entered at SummerSlam 2010 to face The Nexus they lacked a final member after having kicked Miz off the team. The unannounced member was none other than the returning Bryan in a very welcome surprise. Royal Rumble saves - Started by John Morrison's amazing feat of athleticism in 2011, elaborate ways to avoid elimination began as Kofi Kingston would take over duties the following year with the even more impressive hand-stand spot. Whilst Kingston's future attempts have been impressive, none have reached the same level of awe. Daniel Bryan wins the World Heavyweight Championship - Doesn't make the list because of other Bryan moments, but his first World Championship was a massive moment for both Bryan and his following. After weeks of failed attempts to cash in at Big Show's encouragement, fans were starting to worry that Bryan would get saddled as the first man to ever unsuccessfully cash in. But after Show captured Henry's championship at TLC, the former champ attacked him to create the opportunity for Bryan to actually cash in and win the gold. Bret Hart Returns - Over 12 years after the Montreal Screwjob that created the bad blood between Hart and the WWE, The Hitman made his return to Raw. He made jokes with long-time rival Jerry Lawler and finally made peace with Shawn Michaels in one wrestling's most raw confrontations. Later in the night he would confront the man responsible for the incident, Vince McMahon, who delivered a low blow to launch a new rivalry between the two.
