WWE: 10 Reasons The Undertaker Could Retire At WrestleMania 30

5. No One Expects It

One factor in Undertaker choosing to leave WWE at WrestleMania 30 could be the surprise factor. Industry insiders haven't really commented on Undertaker's status (probably due to how private and respected he is) and fans have been more preoccupied with Daniel Bryan and CM Punk to spend time discussing if this could be Undertaker's last year. As a modest and humble man, he perhaps wants to go at a time like this. Calway is intensely private and not one for a fuss, he maybe doesn't want all the drama built around the likes of Flair or Michaels. He's very much more in the mould of a Steve Austin, who retired with pretty close to certainty from the WWE in 2003 without telling anyone other than close friend Jim Ross that WrestleMania 19 would be his last match. Bowing out this year on a quiet note could be Taker's preferred style. Undertaker is certainly the kind of guy who could keep a secret, he could be all booked up to retire right now with only him and Vince knowing so. A glamour match with Cena or symbolic bout with Sting maybe hold no appeal to him, they're more style than substance.
