WWE: 10 Superstars That Retired Before They Were 40

The wrestling business has seen thousands of people walk into WWE and leave an impact on wrestling fans that we will never forget. Some people have careers in the ring that last over 30 years like a Ric Flair. Others have had really short runs like...The Boogeyman? Okay so we're not going to focus on a guy like him in this column. What this column is about is looking at WWE performers that called it quits before the age of 40. Why 40? Because a lot of wrestlers perform well into their 40s. If you start in your early 20s like a lot of them do then you're talking about a 20+ year career in the wrestling business. For this one, we're going to look at five women and five men that left an impact in WWE that called it a career for one reason or another. Sometimes injury is a big factor. In the case of some of the women, they left to go start a family. It all depends on the individual, really. While I realize that dozens of names could be mentioned in a list like this, we're going to only focus on 10. Women like Stacy Keibler, Torrie Wilson, Candice Michelle and Kelly Kelly all qualify for this, but won't be featured. Men like Chris Nowinski, Billy Kidman, Jamie Noble and countless others could have been mentioned too. This feature also won't include anybody that has passed away. People may ask about that, but we're not going there with this one. It should be noted that people like John Morrison or Shelton Benjamin aren't going to be mentioned because even though they are gone from WWE, both have continued to wrestle. For the sake of this list, we're looking at people who are not active in-ring competitors anymore. Here we go with ten names of people who left WWE as regular performers before the age of 40.
