WWE: 10 Superstars Who Should Have Been World Champion

9. Jake The Snake Roberts

Jake The Snake was the kind of guy that in today's WWE environment would have been a top heel but back in the days when Roberts terrorised the WWF superstars with his massive snake (ooh er missus) he was upper mid card at most. Why? Probably something to do with his physique and possibly his drug habit, though that may have been less of a factor back in those days. Jake had fine matches with Hogan, Savage, Undertaker and later in life Stonecold Steve Austin but never made the transition to top tier championship calibre athlete. In fact, Roberts never held a title (singles or tag team) during any of his runs in WWF/E, yet some of his work with the likes of Ravishing Rick Rude were considered an early example of what became known as 'Attitude'.
