A long term goal for WWE has been to do a Rey Mysterio vs Sin Cara match. It is a bout with a strong selling point to the key Hispanic audience, and also a draw for the children market given Mysterio and Cara's character appeal. WWE is keen to book it for these reasons, as well as the fact that they want to tie in a storyline which sets a record for the most people in one place wearing a mask - yes, WWE plans on kitting out the entire audience in Mysterio and Cara masks for the bout. WWE wanted to book this "mask" angle at both Wrestlemania 28 and 29. However, the risk taking Mysterio and Cara are so injury prone that the match never happened. Perhaps Wrestlemania 30 will finally be their chance. With Rey Mysterio also being one of the top paid wrestlers in WWE, the company will want to feature the high flyer prominently on the Mania card. They need to get their moneys worth for Mysterio, especially as he has been out injured for so long. Sin Cara is another star that WWE wants more out of, he came in with a huge reputation from his days as Mistico in Mexican wrestling. Sin Cara was a personal project of Triple H, and the star is yet to justify his position in the American company. The match itself should be very good if both men are at their best. They are both fast and exciting in the ring. It could end up being a match of the night contender if everything goes to plan.
