WWE: 10 Wrestlers With Egos Bigger Than Their Muscles

Shawn Michaels Vs Bret Hart Pro Wrestling has always required a large amount of confidence and self belief - after all, it must be slightly intimidating to go out in front of a 20,000 people crowd in just shorts and baby oil. The same feeling of insecurity is arguably even bigger backstage, with peers looking to stab you in the back and your jacked up body-building billionaire boss looming over you. To survive, you have to believe in yourself and show a face of complete conviction in your ability. In the WWE this necessity has often ended up developing some of the biggest egotistical monsters ever seen in entertainment, and there are many wrestlers in WWE who display an ego bigger than their muscles. As well as developing these huge levels of self confidence, there are other unusual traits that develop among WWE talent. For example, the wrestlers start to consider it vitally important to be a champion - despite the belt being little more than a glorified prop. Wrestlers become convinced of their greatness, sometimes believing their own hype and getting lost in the adulation of their gimmick. Too many guys are guilty of forgetting a vital point - it's all a work, it's all for fun. The irony is that it's the guys you would expect to have a huge ego in WWE who turn out to be the most humble and generous guys in the business. The Rock is a huge star, but he is a genuinely nice guy who has happily put over talent if the business makes sense. Despite his brash promos and confident style, Rock is one of the most humble guys to ever be WWE champion. Then there are guys like Triple H, yes he has protected his spot at times - but critics of his ego should also take a look at the list of guys he has put over and helped develop. There are some WWE stars with ego problems that are so out of control they make the likes of Triple H look shy and self-effacing: who believe they are the best thing to ever happen to wrestling, and will vocally state this at the same time as they demand more recognition. And to pervesely celebrate those figures, we're running down the shockingly egotistical wrestlers whose self-imagined profiles outstrip even their bulging muscles...
