WWE: 11 Best Ever Top Rope Moves

10. Elbow Drop - Randy "Macho Man" Savage

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkU43MSg2vQ As Vince McMahon "took wrestling national" in the mid 80's, the stars of all the vanquished territories made their way North. One pick up from the Memphis territories was a gravel-voiced maniac named Randy Savage. Unique for his smaller size and in-ring agility, Savage would routinely outmaneuver his opponents by utilizing every inch of ring space (and taking it to the outside when needed). When it was time to finish foes, Savage would take to the top rope, tauntingly pose for the fans before dropping his elbow onto the opponent's chest, sometimes leaping half way across the ring. Since then, numerous others have tried to get it right from Shawn Michaels to CM Punk (complete with Macho Man pose as tribute to the late champion).

9. Headbutt - Dynamite Kid

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1aUNzS25WA The Dynamite Kid (1/2 of the tag team The British Bulldogs) has gone down in history as one of the greatest in-ring technicians ever. Intense and brutal in the ring, Dynamite traveled the world learning from and standing toe-to-toe with the finest grapplers and high flyers in the world. His intensity and dedication was no more evident when he pulled off a swan dive headbutt from the top that seemed to hurt him just as much as his opponent. Behind the scenes, the move is considered so dangerous that very few practice it even to this day. The last wrestler of note to use the top rope headbutt was a grappler who idolized Dynamite in all aspects of in-ring style: Chris Benoit.

Following him on Twitter @TheRogerLuna is a waste of time; time that could be better used pursuing an education or maybe settling down with that nice Sally Jenkins from down the street. You're father and I aren't spring chickens anymore and it would be nice...
