WWE: 12 Most Ridiculous Sidekicks Ever

Professional wrestling has always been famous for its outrageous characters and personalities, but there have been a few times throughout history when those characters went way past outrageous and arrived at ridiculous. Often times, this occurred when the character in question was a sidekick to a featured wrestler. Many might think of the mid 1990s as a time when the product catered towards a certain level of outlandish and childish characters, but as we look through our list you will notice that all eras are represented fairly evenly. Keep in mind, we aren't saying that all of these sidekicks were useless or without some positive merit. Certainly many of them were entertaining for a period of time, if not for entire careers. However, the fact that they are outlandish and strange ideas can not be ignored. Sometimes they worked, sometimes they didn't, but all of them are ridiculous. Without any further adieu, WhatCulture.com gives to you the 12 Most Ridiculous Sidekicks Ever...

12. Ralphus

In 1998 and 1999, when Goldberg's popularity was reaching a fever pitch, Chris Jericho decided to capitalize on that momentum and turn it into a rather hilarious satire. What resulted was Jericho asking a WCW truck driver if he would like to be his on air bodyguard and accompany him to the ring. That man was Ralphus. For reference, when Goldberg would enter the ring in WCW, he often had a team of security that would knock on his dressing room and then accompany him throughout the backstage area to the entrance way. You are probably asking yourself why someone who was booked as the toughest guy in the company would be the only wrestler who needed security to accompany him to the ring, but that's a topic (dumb things WCW did) for a different day. The security escort entrance was expertly mocked by Jericho. Ralphus always wore a shirt to the ring that was at least three sizes to small for him, stained with food, and emblazoned with "Jericho Personal Security" scrawled across the front by hand in marker. According to Chris Jericho's autobiography, the success started to go to the head of Ralphus (seriously) and that is why the act was dropped. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlANqxZxhm8
