WWE 205 Live Officially Moves To Friday Nights

WWE's cruiserweights are following SmackDown's lead and heading to Fridays.

After online scuttlebutt had recently suggested that WWE’s 205 Live show could well be moving from Tuesday nights to Fridays, WWE has now moved to confirm that, yes, this is indeed the case.

Beginning this Friday, 205 Live will air directly after SmackDown goes off the air at 10pm ET. While SmackDown will air on FOX, 205 Live will still remain on the WWE Network.

This week’s episode of 205 Live will emanate from Los Angeles’ famed Staples Center, although no matches have been officially announced for this Friday’s offering.

At present, Lio Rush is the #1 contender for Drew Gulak’s WWE Cruiserweight Championship, but there’s currently nothing concrete on when that Rush vs. Gulak match will take place. One school of thinking is that the title match could actually happen on Wednesday’s NXT broadcast – which is going head-to-head against the TNT premiere of AEW Dynamite.

Beginning this Friday, Oct. 4, The Most Exciting Hour on Television is moving to Friday nights. As part of WWE Premiere Week, the home of the Cruiserweights —WWE 205 Live — is moving to Fridays at 10/9 C, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.

At the conclusion of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX, tune in to WWE Network to see WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak, Oney Lorcan, Humberto Carrillo, Tony Nese and all your favorite Cruiserweights in an hour of action that will leave you breathless.
