WWE: 5 Best Moments Of The Attitude Era

4. The Debut of Chris Jericho

http://youtu.be/32OPyEAraU4 Jaw dropping. August 9, 1999 is a day I'll never forget. As a 12 year old kid I wasn't privy to any sort of inside information or spoilers, this was a complete surprise to me. Back before the Invasion angle, the thought of a WCW superstar crossing over into the WWF seemed like nothing more than a childhood dream. Then Jericho showed up. For months leading up to this moment, there was a countdown that would pop up every now and then. While most fans may have known what was coming at that time, I don't think I had any idea. So when Jericho showed up in the middle of a promo by The Rock, I was floored. Back then it was a big deal if a wrestler would cross over to the other promotion, I remember Big Show making his debut at the St. Valentine's Day Massacre and had similar feelings. But this one was bigger, maybe it was just the dramatics of it all but I really felt it and I don't think I'll forget it.
