Over the years there have been several wrestlers who were more famous for their facial hair than they were their in ring ability. For example, Hulk Hogan was the hands down king of American wrestling for much of the 1980′s and some of the 1990′s. But what do you remember him for? It wasn’t his high risk, exciting offence in the old squared circle that’s for sure. OK it might have been his saggy man boobs and hideous yellow pants but for the most part you remember his fantastic moustache. The same could be said of other (ahem) classic era wrestlers like Lanny Poffo or Skinner while some more talented wrestlers like Bruiser Brody, Jeff Hardy and The Undertaker have all at some time or another rocked awesome nose neighbours.

But perhaps the greatest facial hair in the history of the sport belongs to none other than Daniel Bryan. It started off like any beard at first and looked fine with Bryan’s shaven head. But over the last 12 months plus it has grown into something far more special – taking on a life of it’s own. With his wild hair style atop his head Bryan looks like a crazy mountain man and has taken what could have been a very average looking WWE Superstar and turned himself into one of the most unique looking athletes on the roster.

But who else could benefit from such fantastic facial hair? It’s done wonders for Bryan’s WWE career so the law of averages dictates it would do the same for other people.

Here’s our list of the top 5 candidates. We think you might be surprised by our choices.
