WWE: 6 Bold Reasons John Cena Could Become The Authority's Unified WWE Champion

5. The Authority Would Need John More Than He Would Need Them

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pDmapbNZOg We have seen what happens when Cena is pushed by someone in authority. From Vince McMahon to John Laurinaitis, Cena has proven time and again that he does not need or want the boss to keep him in line. Cena is an independent contractor, operating of his own accord because he refuses to be controlled by anyone. Working under the reign of The Authority would be no different. And that is why he would willingly go along with Triple H as the Authority sponsored face of WWE. The fact is that a heel's reasoning is logical only to himself. All a heel needs to do to prove he's in the right is to prove it to himself. If fans don't understand, it's not his problem and he does not care. While fans would take one look at Cena as having sold his soul to the devil, the truth is that to John, aligning himself with Triple H would make perfect sense. It all boils down to the notion that Cena really doesn't need The Authority, they need him. This would be very appealing to Triple H, who perhaps is a little sick of hearing Orton complain and cry about not receiving enough help. Understanding that Cena can stand on his own two feet but at the same time is open to counsel by The Authority, would likely be enough for The Game. Triple H would still get his way and at the same time also give Cena just enough room to feel comfortable in his new role. Cena's ego would be stroked by The Authority, who would do nothing but whisper great things into his ear. Cena could turn heel and do it his way; it doesn't have to make sense to anyone but himself.
