WWE: 6 Divas That Must Return In 2014

5. Maxine

In the case of Maxine, she's a woman that really never got a chance to show what she could do on WWE's main stage. She signed with WWE in 2009 and spent a couple of years working for Florida Championship Wrestling, WWE's developmental territory. While there, she showed that she was more than just a wrestler and a pretty face because she also served as the general manager. Her stint as the GM of NXT proved that she could handle a heavy workload while also having the acting skills to be a well rounded performer. Maxine was a member of the 2010 NXT season that featured only divas. She was also the best female performer on WWE's NXT program that aired on the internet and also on international TV in 2011 and into 2012. She was involved in a love triangle storyline with Johnny Curtis (now Fandango) and Derrick Bateman. In that program, she showed off her personality as an evil woman that would do anything to get what she wants. I thought she had proven she was an above actress in the WWE world. In the spring of 2012, she was finally given the chance to perform on some main WWE programs. There were a couple of tag matches, but then she chose to leave the company. Maxine asked for and was given her release from WWE in June of 2012. At the time, she commented that there was some frustration on her end. Can you blame her? She was in the company for several years, proved her worth and they never seemed to pull the trigger with her. Since her departure, Maxine has pursued acting and modeling opportunities. She hasn't done independent wrestling since she left WWE. I'm not sure if that means she has no interest in wrestling anymore, but I hope she considered it. Maxine showed in her WWE career that she was an all around talent that could talk, act and consistently improve in the ring. Every time I watched her wrestle on NXT and Superstars she got better. She was proof that hard work paid off. At age 27, she is in the prime of her wrestling career. Hopefully she still has an interest in returning to WWE and that WWE will bring her back because I think Maxine's a star that can shine really bright if she's given the chance to do so.
