WWE: 7 Announcers Who Should Replace Jerry Lawler

Jerry Lawler It's obvious that long time WWE commentator Jerry Lawler is showing his age as he commentates on Raw every week and on pay-per-views once per month. It happens to everybody. The 64 year old has been a fixture on WWE TV for over twenty years and has been one of the main voices on Raw along with Vince McMahon, Jim Ross and Michael Cole. Lawler at his peak was a tremendous announcer, especially as a heel. During the Attitude Era that we all loved so much, he was perfect as the guy that sucked up to evil Vince McMahon while Ross countered everything he said by defending the good guys. They were arguably the best announcing duo in the history of WWE as they complimented each other perfectly. In September of 2012, Lawler suffered a heart attack while Raw was on the air. It was one of the scariest moments in WWE history as Lawler collapsed. Thankfully the WWE doctors and the hospital in Montreal were able to tend to Lawler quickly. Two months later he was back to commentating in WWE and he's been there ever since. Since Lawler is hitting that retirement age this year, it's time to think about who might replace him as the third announcer on Raw. Since Vince McMahon was reportedly not a fan of Lawler's Elvis shirt on Raw, perhaps there are plans already in place about replacing Jerry. Here are some candidates that can fill The King's chair on Raw should he decide that it's time to step away or if Vince McMahon wants to go in another direction.
