WWE: 7 Most Interesting Statistics From 2013

Damien Sandow The WWE is a world where numbers matter. There are 30 superstars competing in the Royal Rumble, 10 seconds outside the ring gets you counted out, The Undertaker is undefeated through 21 Wrestlemania matches, and three seconds is what it takes to pin a superstar. These are some of the more commonly known numbers, but in this article, we will be looking at some of the more interesting and perhaps lesser known numbers and statistics from the last WWE year.

7. Number Of Undertaker Matches - 3

The Undertaker has been a WWE staple since his debut in November of 1990. The bumps and bruises that come with a near 25 year career have evidently taken a toll on the Phenom, and his schedule has accordingly been reduced. In 2013, the Undertaker wrestled a total of three matches: his Wrestlemania 29 classic with CM Punk, a six-man tag where he and Team Hell No took on The Shield, and a singles match against Shield member Dean Ambrose. Though some may complain about the lack of time The Deadman spends on WWE screens, I prefer to take the view that we are very lucky to still see matches from this once-in-a-lifetime superstar. The Undertaker defending his legendary undefeated streak at Wrestlemania is among the best highlights of the year, and the matches are always top-notch. Furthermore, we were treated this year to some bonus Undertaker action, and his small rivalry with The Hounds of Justice really gave those superstars credibility and pushed them to the top tier of the WWE. Any Undertaker is good Undertaker. And if he wants to just do a Wrestlemania match for the next five years, that would be ok with the majority of wrestling fans.
