WWE: 8 Pathetic Wrestling Finishers That Wouldn't Hurt A Fly

Mick Foley A finishing move is the height of excitement during a wrestling match, even if it doesn't actually determine the result. Usually performed week in, week out on WWE television, these are moves we never get tired of seeing (well, the good ones anyway). Some finishers survive the entire career of a wrestler and become defining moments for them €“ can you imagine watching a Triple H match where he didn't even attempt the Pedigree or seeing The Undertaker return to Wrestlemania without the Tombstone Piledriver? Of course, there are plenty of bad finishing moves out there too. Some are so poorly performed or badly conceived that you wonder how exactly they're supposed to hurt somebody, even in the often ridiculous world of the WWE. Here's eight finishers that just don't look all that painful or damaging; a couple of which are considered to be among the best around.

8. The People's Elbow (The Rock)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eWkqO_sX_k They call The Rock "The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment" and The People's Elbow is probably a huge reason why. As soon as The Rock stands over his opponent and begins to remove an elbow pad, everybody in the arena is on their feet. It's undoubtedly one of the reasons he become such a mega star in the wrestling business. So why does The People's Elbow have to look so terrible? The actual delivery of the elbow is weak; Rocky almost flops onto his opponent. Even with the added muscle mass from his recent return, you still wouldn't call the move devastating. Not even close. It's great theatrics and a great moment when witnessed live, no doubt, but The People's Elbow just doesn't look painful at all.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
