WWE And Madison Square Garden Pay Tribute To Hulk Hogan

WWE's New York City show is running wild with Hulkamania.

WWE and Madison Square Garden played host to 'Hulk Hogan Appreciation Night' on friday. The special New York City house show was notable for seeing Madison Square Garden unveiling a Hulk Hogan banner in the arena rafters. That tribute will permanently hang alongside banners for the Rangers and Knicks. It really is a fantastic tribute to the WWE and Hulk. It recognises the importance of the WWE and Hulkamania in the history of Madison Square Garden. Hogan was very emotional. This was the place where Hulkamania was born, and now a banner stating "30 Years Of Hulkamania" will forever recognise his legacy.
WWE also presented Hogan with a special painting and gave him a tribute video package. This was all the main event of the show and it featured appearances from Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Ric Flair and Triple H. They did the NWO reunion, followed by Flair and Hunter coming out to put Hogan over as the greatest of all time. Hunter said he wasn't there as an employee, but as a fan. It's a little bit ironic, as both Flair and Hunter have criticised Hogan in the past. The show also featured red and yellow ring ropes, plus red and yellow lighting to the exterior of the arena.
In results from the card - Bad News Barrett defeated Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd defeated The New Day. Chris Jericho defeated Luke Harper after a Codebreaker. R-Truth defeated Fandango. John Cena defeated Rusev by DQ with the United States Title on the line. Nikki Bella defeated Paige. Randy Orton defeated Bray Wyatt.
