WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Aug 28)

How much wrestling is too much?

This week in the world of professional wrestling, we had...well, quite honestly, we just had way too much wrestling.

Wrestling is a good thing, it’s one of the biggest things mankind has ever created, but between Saturday to Tuesday, WWE gave us over 13 hours of wrestling. You could have watched the first six Star Wars films in that amount of time, and a few minutes of the Star Wars Holiday Special.

Besides over-saturation of the product, WWE is overdoing it on their ridiculously stupid, unnecessary pop culture references that are recited in dialogue that no one on planet Earth talks like. How about this sick burn from Sheamus referring to Cesaro “He’s like the Suicide Squad...he under-delivers.” Imagine Connor McGregor dropping that on Nate Diaz. Or, how about Mauro Ranallo laying out “They (American Alpha) treated Breezango like critics treated Zoolander 2!” What the f**k is that? Stop it WWE. You’re bombing harder than Ben Hur at the box office! Did I do it right?

Well, elsewhere in wrestling, The Dudley Boyz said an abrupt goodbye to the WWE Universe, and Johnny Knockout said hello by telling us that he likes big, sweaty men and...well, I’m not really sure what they were going for with that.

Well, let’s not waste anymore time. In honor of our friend Finn, let’s climb the top rope and Coup de grâce our way through WWE and TNA’s worst of the week.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
