WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (Aug 31)

Summer is almost over, and we’re headed into the cold, cruel fall.

Summer is almost over, and we€™re headed into the cold, cruel fall. That means kids are back in school, the leaves are turning colors, and WWE will soon surrender to Monday Night Football and air four months worth of mediocre programming. This week we said goodbye to our good pal Robert Van Dam for now (which former world champ will now take his place of losing lackluster four minute matches?), saw Slater Gator and Los Matadores somehow escape the dungeon of Main Event to compete on Raw, and watched The Ascension win their 759th squash match on NXT. If only there was some sort of Network out there where I could watch more of this! This week€™s nitpick: Ethan Carter did Sting€™s trademark €œwoo€, then performed a Stinger Splash onto Rhino into the corner. He was clearly mocking his old opponent/WWE€™s favorite tease. So what did Mike Tenay have to say about it? He just called it a €œcorner clothesline€ without any allusions to Sting and moved on. Was he even paying attention. Maybe he was too busy looking at his laptop searching for a new job? Well let€™s not waste anymore time. It€™s time to rant! So watcha gonna do? Watcha gonna do when worst of the week runs wild on you?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
