WWE And TNA: 7 Worst Moments Of The Week (May 8)

A New Era that feels exactly like the old one. Except with less Sandow.

This week on Monday Night Raw, R-Truth proclaimed that everybody knows Abraham Lincoln was shot by Babe Ruth. That kind of reminds me of how everyone knows that the show is barely watchable right now, in part because of writing like that. But hey, welcome to a new era in WWE...which suspiciously feels exactly like the last era.

The biggest wrestling question of the week is, of course: Why are the Usos so stupid? Or maybe it€™s €œDo Jimmy and Jey not love their cousin?€ Because the two obviously dressed up in their ring gear for WWE Payback to protect the guy. They didn€™t have a match, so there was no reason for them to be there otherwise. However, when Gallows and Anderson beat up Roman, they took like five minutes to go help him. You€™d think they would have just stood by the entryway in case something happened.

Elsewhere in the world of wrestling, Dean Ambrose got hit over the head with a plant, which still doesn€™t feel like fair punishment for having to watch The Ambrose Asylum the past few weeks. Ryback seems to have had enough with WWE. It€™s just too bad he never read a book about positive thinking being able to change the universe to have avoided all this. And lastly, Kalisto finally snapped Byron Saxton€™s impressive 74-week record of worst announcer of the night on Raw.

Meanwhile, TNA was...pretty solid. Yeah. So sadly I have nothing to complain about, which means WWE is going to run the table this week. Now let€™s not waste any more time.

Let€™s remember Mitch the way he was, and smash our way through WWE€™s worst of the week!

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
