Roman wins... again.

There was a lot of anticipation in the weeks leading up to Backlash, but did the PPV deliver? In a word: no. From unfortunate botches to predictable victories, Backlash was far from the great wrestling extravaganza that it promised to be.

That's not to say it was all bad. A phenomenal match between The Miz and Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship was a particular highlight and many fans took to social media to sing the praises of these two competitors. Unfortunately, this match was not the main event.

The WWE Universe wasted no time in telling the world what they loved about the event and what they hated. Watching Backlash from start to finish was tough for even the most devoted WWE fan, so the online community of frustrated fans proved essential in making it through one of the worst PPV's in recent memory.

Despite the massive disappointment Backlash proved to be, at least the WWE event got people talking. Even if it was for all the wrong reasons.

10. The Show Was Too Long

As with the majority of WWE events, Backlash was supposed to be three hours long. However, the event ended up running way over time, which unfortunately is becoming commonplace for PPVs. Considering Backlash had already been a colossal disappointment by the time it was supposed to conclude, the extra running time only made matters worse.

Moreover, it wasn't just the event itself that dragged on too long, it was the main event.

In fact, Backlash would've probably been more enjoyable if the the main event had been cut from the card altogether.
