WWE: Brock Lesnar And The Undertaker "Confrontation Was Staged"

Undertaker-vs-Lesnar It has been a week full of news and revelations about Brock Lesnar as he made his return to WWE television on Monday. Leading up to that WWE appearance there had been fevered speculation that Lesnar was in fact set to return to the UFC, with many sources stating that his WWE contract would allow him to compete in MMA at the same time as WWE. The story got so hot that even UFC President Dana White commented on it during last weekend's UFC 168. It has now been revealed that the Lesnar to UFC story was in fact a PR stunt to get his name talked about leading up to his big WWE return. There have been further huge revelations about Lesnar in the reporting of this PR stunt. Writing for MMAfighting.com, top pro wrestling insider Dave Meltzer has revealed Lesnar's Wrestlemania 30 opponent and fresh details on Brock's "Incident" with The Undertaker a few years ago. Meltzer states that Lesnar will face The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 30. He goes on to say that the confrontation that appeared to be real between Taker and Brock at a UFC in 2010 was in fact staged. Meltzer asserts that - "He is scheduled to face The Undertaker in a match actually set up in 2010 when the two staged having words at a UFC event in on Oct. 23, 2010, in Anaheim, Calif., just minutes after Lesnar had lost the UFC heavyweight title to Cain Velasquez. The plan at the time was for Lesnar to face Undertaker at the 2011 WrestleMania, but Lesnar was under an exclusive contract to UFC, which would not allow him to do the pro wrestling match." The respected MMA and pro wrestling journalist also revealed that Lesnar's deal with WWE would not allow him to compete in UFC, and the deal is secured through to April 2015.
