WWE: CM Punk's 10 Greatest Moments

After the Straight-Edged Superstar's surprise walkout, we look at his best WWE moments.

It seems a massive shame that we are having to write a WWE career retrospective for the departing CM Punk, who is still only 35-years-old. In saying that, what a career it was, with so many great matches and moments to look back upon! This guy really was the best in the world. In paying tribute to the legacy that Punk leaves behind, this feature will detail those contests and segments that made CM Punk a star. The layout of this feature will look at an angle followed by a match. Few men can claim to be so efficient in both aspects of talking and wrestling. Punk was a complete performer who made a habit of stealing the show, which is the main reason that WWE had no choice but to push him as a main eventer in 2011. Punk first debuted as a WWE star in 2006, as part of the ECW reboot. Right away he got to work to achieve his aim of being the best wrestler in the world. Punk would regularly take the plaudits for being the most impressive wrestler on the show. People started to talk about Punk with admiration, eventually seeing him end up on Raw and Smackdown in more prominent spots. This bigger role saw Punk earning praise from none other than Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Chicago star who could wrestle and talk was an undeniable main eventer waiting to happen. And it did happen €“ after some initial problems of course. It took Punk almost walking out in 2011 for WWE to finally realise that they had to do something with him. Over the summer of 2011 he got the push of his life, proving that he could be a headlining star. WWE were impressed, leading to Punk's now legendary 434 day reign as WWE Champion from late 2011 to early 2013. Sadly, it looks like 2014 won't be throwing any more CM Punk history our way. So for now, enjoy this top 10 countdown of Punk's greatest moments in WWE...
