There are a few things to note before Elimination Chamber.
Firstly, Mustafa Ali has been replaced by 'Iron Man' Kofi Kingston in the WWE Title bout. That, despite the solid promo work Ali has been doing near-weekly as of late, is a blessing after Kofi's performance on SmackDown. Secondly, there's bound to be some mischief in at least one of the matches on the card, including Daniel Bryan's fourth Chamber appearance. WWE have another pay-per-view (Fastlane) to think about pre-WrestleMania, after all.
That show changes the game slightly. Without it, the path to 'Mania would seem obvious. With it, certain booking tweaks must be made to ensure Fastlane doesn't turn into a glorified house show like Super Show-Down and Crown Jewel were late-last year. This is WrestleMania season; everything must count.
This Sunday, WWE have a choice: they can either spin their wheels and pen a card which gives little of 'Mania's magic away, or they can make the Chamber a worthy speed bump on the road to New Jersey. In order for it to be the latter, precise things must happen...
