Teddy Long announced at last night’s WWE SmackDown tapings in Omaha that Daniel Bryan will defend the World Heavyweight Championship in an Elimination Chamber match at the February pay-per-view against Randy Orton, Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, The Big Show and…. The Great Khali!
Originally Long announced Mark Henry as a competitor in the match but an angle was played which got him suspended indefinitely and The Great Khali was announced as his replacement. Henry’s suspension is an excuse to keep him off television for a little while, finally figuring out that the man is hurting and has been since December and needs time to recover from his injuries.
The card for the WWE Eimination Chamber pay-per-view which takes place from February 19th in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and currently looks like this;
RAW Elimination Chamber for the WWE Title
CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho vs. The Miz vs. R-Truth vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston
SmackDown Elimination Chamber for the World Heavyweight Title
Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett vs. Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Big Show vs. Randy Orton vs. The Great Khali
John Cena vs. Kane
Presumably Sheamus will be given a match to make him look strong going into his title match at WrestleMania but no other matches right now for the pay-per-view look clear.

Khali just drags down the quality of any type of match he’s involved in so hopefully Big Show knocks him out early to send out a message to Bryan. Should still be a fun match though I think the Raw chamber will steal the show this time around.
