In a move that will surprise absolutely nobody, WWE have today revealed that Stephanie McMahon has signed a new three-year contract extension with the company. The news comes from PWInsider, who report that her "wrestling contract extension" was included in WWE's latest 10-Q filing as part of their quarterly reports.

Stephanie's new deal runs until October 7th, 2019, and will be automatically extended on a yearly basis, though either party has the right to terminate on 90 days' notice.

Stephanie has been on a three-year rolling contract since signing an amended talent deal on October 7th, 2013. The extension shouldn't be too noticeable, though: no changes have been announced regarding Stephanie's role, and she'll continue as both an on-air talent and company executive.

The contract is likely a just legal formality, and Stephanie most likely has a job with her father's company for as long she wants. It's widely-assumed that she and her husband Triple H shall inherit WWE when Vince retires, ensuring her place in the wrestling business for decades to come.

Stephanie's critics won't like the news, but she's a vital part of WWE's hierarchy at this point. Pigs will fly before she leaves the company, and her much maligned role as Raw Commissioner will persist.
