WWE: Fantasy Booking 8 Big Matches For WrestleMania 31

6. Cesaro Versus CM Punk

Cesaro PunkBackground: Despite initial false pretenses, CM Punk's return to WWE in the fall of 2014 is about one thing... destroying the company. He becomes WWE World Heavyweight Champion, but after losing the title at Elimination Chamber, he reaches a crossroads - does he continue with his quest, or simply give up? Punk soldiers on, and decides that the best way to gain power for the new Two-Man Power Trip (more on that later) is to wrest the unified Intercontinental/United States Championship from its owner, Cesaro. A frothing CM Punk attacks Cesaro, then makes his challenge - vowing to leave WWE forever if he can't win the belt. Now a proud babyface champion, Cesaro accepts. The Match: Cesaro and Punk put on a technical classic for the Santa Clara crowd - though Cesaro has a bit more finesse and hold-for-hold know-how, Punk has his own answer to every the Swiss strongman throws at him. Eventually getting frustrated, Punk starts brawling with Cesaro - despite the champion's power, Punk's street fighting prowess gives him the advantage. He starts relying on high-impact maneuvers, but Cesaro manages to catch him on springboard clothesline attempt and nail a backbreaker. Cesaro attempts a giant swing, put Punk rolls him up for two, then nails a roundhouse kick. The former WWE Champion goes up top for a big elbow, but Cesaro pops to his feet and nails a European uppercut as Punk flies downward. He goes for the Neutralizer, but Punk slides between Cesaro's legs and sets him up for the GTS. When Punk launches Cesaro off, though, the champion catches his leg and scoops him up into a giant swing. After several dozen rotations, Cesaro releases Punk, then hits the Neutralizer and scores the win. After the match, a tearful Punk, realizing the gravity of his loss, waves goodbye to the fans, who give him a standing ovation. Winner: Cesaro in 21:01
