Ronda Rousey made a surprise appearance at the 2018 Royal Rumble event to confront Asuka, the inaugural Women's Royal Rumble winner. She next appeared at Elimination Chamber for a contract signing ceremony, which ended with Rousey driving Triple H through the table with a Belly-to-Belly Suplex.
This eventually led to Rousey and Kurt Angle facing Stephanie McMahon and Triple H at WrestleMania 34, where Rousey’s team won after she made McMahon submit to an Armbar. On the following night at Raw, Rousey removed The Billion Dollar Princess’s brace off her arm before applying an Armbar again.
Rousey then turned her attention to the Women’s Championship and defeated Alexa Bliss for the title at SummerSlam. She spent the following months defending her title against Nia Jax, Nikki Bella, Sasha Banks, and other superstars. The match against The Boss was considered one of the best in her career and featured Rousey attempting the Three Amigos to mock Banks.
